How many sessions will I need, and how far apart can I have them?

Typically a patient having this treatment will have a course of around 6-8 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart.

Am I a suitable candidate?

Patients who suffer with redness, rosacea or vascular issues are ideal candidates for this treatment. At PHI Clinic we can treat skin types 1-6 with the laser.

Who will perform the treatment?

Our team of aesthetic therapists and nurses perform this treatment.

What areas can be treated?

Most areas can be treated. The most common area is the face and chest.

Is there any downtime?

Patients may see some slight redness in the treated area, but this should not persist long after treatment. Patients undergoing laser treatment are always advised to protect their skin from the sun and to wear a good sun block.

Introduction to Pulsed Dye Laser

Pulsed Dye Laser can be very effective in treating redness and other issues like face veins. The treatment is minimally invasive (non-ablative), does not require anaesthetic to be administered, and can be done in a matter of minutes, depending on the individual patient's condition.

The Pulsed dye laser, or VBeam, releases long pulses of energy to the epidermis (the top layer of skin), which is drawn to the redness in the skin. The device helps to coagulate the blood and cauterise veins to reduce the flushed look that patients experience, while removing diseased and dead skin cells to give a refreshed look. This treatment can be used to improve the appearance of port-wine stains and strawberry marks, as well as red scars and facial thread veins.
